1:43 Royal Collection from SMTS
Published on: 23 October 2018
We are very excited to be working in partnership with SMTS on a brand new 1:43 series of cars used by the Royal Family. The first five subjects have already been confirmed, with more to follow.
The very first release will be Prince Philip’s 1954 Lagonda 3 litre drophead coupé. SMTS’s 1:43 replica will come complete with the extra aerial at the rear of the car for the Duke’s radio telephone, which he used to prank a young Prince Charles by disguising his voice. The extra vanity mirror at the top of the passenger’s side of the windscreen that was installed so that the Queen could check she looked suitably regal is another nice touch.
The other four cars that we can currently announce are Prince Charles’s Aston Martin DB6 Volante, Prince Philip’s Triplex Ogle GTS, the Jaguar E-Type Zero that Prince Harry drove after marrying Meghan, and the Royal Estate’s Ford V8 Pilot 'woody' shooting brake.
This collection will grow into something really rather special indeed. Make sure you’re in at the beginning. The collection is limited to just 100 pieces per subject.
