TV and Film Models

Over the years, cars and bikes have featured strongly in a whole array of famous cinema films and TV shows such that, at times, the cars have been as famous as the actors who drove or rode them. And so the diecast manufacturers did not take long to realise that models of these automotive subjects would prove popular with both film fans and model collectors alike. Of course, the first and most famous subject of this genre was probably the original 1:36 Crogi replica of the James Bond Aston Martin DB5. But just about every famous film car has now been replicated; from the Delorean in Back to the Future and the Pontiac Transam in Smokey and the Bandit, to Steve McQueen’s Great Escape bike and the Kawasaki Tom Cruise rode in Top Gun. Such models have been produced across the scales; from 1:43 and 1:18 predominantly in the car world, to mostly 1:12 in the bike world.
