Sun Star 1:18 diecast model of the 1984 Ford Escort RS1600i in Caspian Blue. The RS1600i was unashamedly a homologation special. Ford needed to build 5,000 examples in order for it to be eligible for rallying, but it proved so popular that in the end 8,659 were constructed. Its 1,597 cc CVH engine enabled a 0 to 60 mph acceleration time of 8.7 seconds with the aid of Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection and unique AFT twin-coil ignition.
