Matrix 1:43 resin model of the 1966 Jaguar E-Type Roadster Frua with the roof open in red. John Coombs commissioned Pietro Frua to restyle the Jaguar E-Type. Coombs had hoped that the exercise would prove to be a big commercial success, but it turned out that you couldn't really improve upon perfection, and only a handful of orders were placed. The main modifications that Frua made were to reduce the length of the nose by 10 inches, to replace the bonnet bulge with an air scoop, and to also reduce the length of the tail. The rear window was also enlarged.
