KK 1:18 diecast model of the 1965 Maserati Quattroporte in grey metallic. The original Series I Quattroporte debuted at the 1963 Turin Motor Show, represented by a pre-production prototype on the Maserati stand. Regular production began the following year. It was designed by one coachbuilder (Pietro Fura, who drew inspiration from a one-off 5000 GT that Prince Karim Aga Khan had commissioned from him), and constructed by another (Vignale). The car was powered by a 4.1 litre V8 engine. It competed with the Facel Vega and the Lagonda Rapide in the grand tourer marketplace. It was replaced by the Series II in 1966.
