Spark Lotus 49 - 1st 1967 Dutch Grand Prix - #5 J. Clark 1:43 Product Information

Spark 1:43 resin model of the #5 Lotus 49 as driven to victory by Jim Clark in the 1967 Dutch Grand Prix. The 1967 Dutch GP marked the debut for the Lotus 49, Clark having only qualified eighth as that meeting was the first time that he had ever driven the car. By contrast his team-mate Graham Hill, who had carried out most of the 49’s testing, took pole position. In the race Hill retired from the lead, while Clark worked through the field to take the win and make it a debut victory for the 49. It also marked the winning debut of the Ford Cosworth DFV engine. The double world champion would score four more successes with the 49 before that fateful day at Hockenheim in April 1968.
