St Martins Models
The St Martins Models shop closed its doors for the last time on Sunday 6th January 2019. Thank you to all of our customers who have visited us over the years. You can still obtain models from us at our Guildford warehouse premises, which are located at 8 Quadrum Park, Old Portsmouth Road, Guildford, Surrey, GU3 1LU. You are welcome to either visit us in person, or order through our website at www.diecastlegends.com. You can also contact us by phone on 01483 407555.
Take the St Martins Models shop tour! Until now, if you wanted to take a browse around the St Martins Models shop, the only way to do so was to visit it in London.
But now with Google Street view you can pay a virtual visit and poke your nose into every corner of the store. Take a look at all of our brands. See what you think of the latest 1:18 and 1:43 replicas. Like what you see? Then come and visit us in the flesh when you can!
There’s been a diecast model shop in the St Martins area of London for well over 50 years. When the lease on the original St Martin's Lane shop expired in 2011, we moved in around the corner, and opened a shop at 15 Cecil Court.
Cecil Court is a wonderful, pedestrianised Victorian walkway that runs between St Martins Lane and Charing Cross Road. Our shop is less than a minute's walk from the original St Martin's store.
As a location, it’s about as central as it’s possible to get in the metropolis. We are a one minute walk from Leicester Square tube station, a two minute walk from Covent Garden tube, and just three minutes from Piccadilly Circus and Charing Cross stations.
Our shop doesn’t sell radio-controlled cars, Airfix kits or toys. It’s dedicated 100% to diecast and resin models, and the shop is filled from floor to ceiling with every kind of model you can think of, mostly of course in 1:43 and 1:18.
It’s a bit like Dr Who’s tardis; from the outside it looks pretty small, but inside you’ll find much more than you bargained for.
If you’re a collector, it’s well worth a visit. Recently, it was voted one of the 111 most interesting shops in London.
During the week, the shop is managed by Paulo, who has been with us for over 20 years. He knows his onions. At the weekend, it’s Lawrence who takes on the responsibility. Away from the office, Lawrence is a die-hard collector, who is a regular on the swap-meet scene.
A lot of our regular London shop customers order models via our central order line on 01483 407555, and then arrange to collect them at the shop in order to save on postage and packaging.
