Spark 1:43 resin model of the #28 Lotus 18-21 V8 as driven by Stirling Moss in practice for the 1961 Italian Grand Prix. 1961 was Moss’s final season of competing in the Formula One world championship, as he had his death-defying crash at Goodwood before the 1962 campaign got underway. In the Italian GP towards the end of the year, he trialled Climax’s V8 development engine in his Lotus 18-21 in free practice. He started the race in a ‘pukka’ 21, but a wheel bearing failure ended his involvement with proceedings.
