Another gap in our customers’ 1:18 Formula One world champion collections that Spark has just plugged is Jack Brabham’s 1966 Brabham BT19.

Jack Brabham carved himself a unique place in the history books in 1966, by winning the world title in his own make of car.

‘Black Jack’ started the 1966 campaign quietly, with a DNF at Monaco and a fourth place at Spa. He then won the next four events on the trot, however (Reims, Silverstone, Zandvoort and the Nurburgring), and with a driver only able to count his best five results from the nine rounds, that was pretty much job done.

John Surtees was the only driver who might have been able to challenge him, but the Englishman quit Ferrari after winning in Belgium, furious that he had not been included in the team’s entry at Le Mans.

Scores of people have been clamouring for this Brabham replica for too long, so take action soon or you may have cause to regret it!
