Williams FW07C - 1981 - #2 C. Reutemann 1:43 (P810002)
Minichamps has released 1:43 replicas of the Williams FW07Cs of Alan Jones (P810001) and Carlos Reutemann. Alan Jones and Williams, of course, were the defending champions in 1981. The season started well for them, as they scored 1-2 finishes in the first two rounds of the championship. Jones won at Long Beach, whilst Reutemann took victory in Brazil. Indeed, Reutemann scored five podiums in the first five races, scoring another victory in Belgium. But after that, the Williams FW07Cs dropped off the pace, and struggled to achieve podium finishes. In the end, Reutemann lost the title to Piquet by a single point, but defending champion Jones went out with a bang by winning the final race in Las Vegas. Williams, though, still retained the constructors’ title. Both of these 1:43 Williams FW07Cs were on display at Nuremberg and, as you would expect, they are little stunners. They are a little more expensive than Minichamps’ other classic F1 cars as they feature removable bodywork.
