Minichamps has released a 1:18 diecast model of the 2010 Porsche 718 Spyder in metallic grey. The 918 is Porsche’s first ever plug-in hybrid vehicle. It uses the 500 bhp V8 engine from the RS Spyder Le Mans car. This is supplemented by three additional electric motors that add 218 bhp, bringing the 918’s total power output to an astronomical 768 bhp. Needless to say, the car is easily capable of 200 mph. Two of the electric motors drive the front wheels, while a third gives extra power to the rear. In addition to the plug-in charge, the batteries can also be recharged by regenerative braking and excess power from the engine when the car is coasting. Incredibly, the Porsche 918 is capable of 90 mpg in hybrid mode! This car is an amazing piece of engineering, and if you’re a Porsche fan, you’ve simply got to have Minichamps’ 1:18 replica of it!Delivery information
